Time to Spend: Cristiano Ronaldo’s Watch Craze Thrives in Saudi Arabia with £1.6m Masterpiece in His Arsenal

Cristiano Ronaldo’s obsession with watches has skyrocketed since his relocation to Saudi Arabia.

From the moment he arrived, the passion for timepieces ignited, with Ronaldo receiving a one-of-a-kind Jacob & Co watch to commemorate his move to Al-Nassr.

This portable watch was specifically designed to pay homage to Saudi Arabia, featuring a stunning emerald green color that perfectly matched the nation’s flag. Crafted in 18K white gold and measuring 47mm x 15.85mm, this exquisite piece is valued at a staggering £630,000.

However, this is merely a fraction of the costliest timepiece in Ronaldo’s extensive collection. The Franck Muller Invisible Baguette Diamonds Imperial Tourbillon, worth £1.6 million, takes precedence.

Earning a reported £3.3 million per week at Al-Nassr, money is certainly not an obstacle for Ronaldo when indulging in his watch addiction.

Just five months into his stay in Saudi Arabia, the football superstar received another Saudi-themed Jacob & Co watch worth £92,000. Named the ‘Heart of CR7 Baguette,’ this timepiece showcases his iconic celebration on the back and is adorned with 26 baguette-cut white diamonds on the frame.

During the same period, Ronaldo also splurged on a Jacob & Co watch worth £750,000.

Not content with solely amassing an impressive watch collection, the Portuguese star became a shareholder of the Chrono24 watch-selling company. In July, he purchased an undisclosed stake in the business, which is estimated to be valued at around £770 million. Chrono24 boasts over nine million monthly visitors to its website since its establishment in 2003.

With a watch collection worth £5 million, Ronaldo has a plethora of options when it comes to offering gifts.

This is precisely what he did when he met former UFC champion Francis Ngannou before his fight with Tyson Fury in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, last month. Ronaldo generously presented Ngannou with a watch valued at half a million Saudi riyals or approximately £110,000.
