On Friday, rap artist Quando Rondo, known legally as Tyquian Terrel Bowman, was arrested on federal drug charges. The incident occurred in Savannah, where Quando was apprehended by police without any confrontation. He was a passenger in a vehicle that was specifically stopped for his arrest, not due to a traffic infraction. It’s important to note that the other individuals in the car were not detained.
This arrest follows Quando’s indictment in June, alongside 18 others, on state charges related to gang activities and drug offenses. He is alleged to have violated the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act through his association with the Rollin’ 60s street gang. Prosecutors assert that the “ABG” rapper played a role in orchestrating drug transactions, including directing another defendant to negotiate marijuana prices and traveling to Macon, GA, to complete a payment to a supplier.
