Michelle Pfeiffer Cast in ‘Yellowstone’ Spinoff Series

Michelle Pfeiffer is set to join the “Yellowstone” universe.

The acclaimed actress will star in and executive produce the upcoming “Yellowstone” spinoff titled “Madison,” initially introduced as “2024.” The series will delve into themes of grief and human connections, tracing the journey of a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana, as outlined in a press release.

“Michelle Pfeiffer brings a level of emotional depth, authenticity, and grace to every role she undertakes,” said Chris McCarthy, Paramount Global Co-CEO and President/CEO of Showtime & MTV Entertainment Studios. He praised Pfeiffer as the ideal lead for “Madison,” which he described as the latest creation from the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan.

“Madison” is part of a growing franchise by Sheridan, which already includes the prequels “1883” and “1923,” with additional series in development.

Meanwhile, “Yellowstone” lead Kevin Costner shared on social media in June that he would be departing the popular series. After a year and a half of intense work on “Horizon” and “Yellowstone,” Costner expressed his love for the show but confirmed he would not return for Season 5b or future episodes.

“1883” featured Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, and “1923” starred Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford. Fans of the franchise can look forward to the next season of “Yellowstone,” which returns on November 10.
