Ken Hudson Campbell, known for his role in ‘Home Alone’, has undergone surgery to remove a cancerous tumor.

Ken Hudson Campbell, recognized for his portrayal of Santa in “Home Alone,” has recently undergone a successful surgical procedure to remove cancer in his mouth. His daughter, Michaela, informed, the surgery was completed smoothly on Thursday morning, and the family was able to visit him by that evening. Although Ken is not entirely out of the woods yet and will stay in the ICU for 2-3 more days before moving to regular hospital care for about a week, he is awake and recovering well. The total recovery period is expected to be around six weeks before he can resume normal activities.

Ken’s cancer diagnosis came in October after a tumor developed at the bottom of his mouth and started affecting his teeth. Michaela had set up a GoFundMe page to assist with medical expenses since Ken lost his SAG-AFTRA health insurance at the start of last year due to the pandemic. The fundraising campaign has seen remarkable support, nearing its $100,000 goal with substantial donations from celebrities like Jeff Garlin, Tim Meadows, Bill Prady, and a notable $10,000 from Steve Carell, a friend of Ken from their days in Second City Chicago improv.

Despite this significant progress, Ken faces further medical challenges, including reconstructive surgery and possibly radiation and chemotherapy, entailing a six-month recovery period. However, with this successful surgery, he has cleared a significant obstacle in his health journey. The support from friends, family, and the entertainment community has been a critical factor in this positive outcome.
