Snoop Dogg surprised everyone with his announcement that he’s giving up “smoke” – but it turns out this choice of words was actually a clever marketing strategy. He’s now endorsing a smokeless stove!
On Monday, Snoop revealed that his announcement had nothing to do with quitting marijuana but was all about promoting Solo Stove, an outdoor fire pit that delivers the warmth and ambiance without the need to puff, puff, pass. The new CEO of Death Row Records addressed concerns about potentially damaging his brand with this ad but assured everyone that he’s “done with the coughing and my clothes smelling all sticky-icky.”
Indeed, Snoop has a knack for using double meanings, and this was no exception. Observant folks noted that he said he was quitting “smoke” and not “smoking,” although not everyone caught onto this detail.
Both Meek Mill and Coi Leray were quick to make unfounded claims about cannabis but pledged to quit soon. Now that we know Snoop is simply promoting stoves, we’ll see if they stick to their word.
As for Snoop’s love of blunts, it’s safe to say it’s still “smoke ’em if ya got ’em” for Uncle Snoop!
